Summary of the project:
The Berlin-based manufacturer and operator of Cosmocard vending machines Cosmoproducts GmbH commissioned NKPM to provide consultation for the project and operations management. The Cosmocard vending machine creates postcards which contain a photo of the buyer.

Consultation for series production
The work for Cosmoproducts GmbH began on the basis of two pilot series with two Cosmocard vending machines. NKPM accompanied the design and project planning and supervised production of a series of 20 Cosmocard vending machines.
Development of Remote Management Software
Besides the improvement of the Macromedia Director-based software for the actual vending machine, a Remote Management System was also created. NKPM and the technical department of Cosmoproducts conceived a Remote Management System which enables the company to remotely control all the worldwide vending machines from Berlin, Germany. The 24/7 up-to-date telemetry data is the basis for the service planning.
Setup of a service department
NKPM helped to set up the service department of Cosmoproducts. The decentralised service staff across Germany are controlled from Berlin. Based on the Remote Management System, the service department was able to maintain the vending machines to run 98% of the time.
